To begin I would like to explore why we even have alternate theories for this attack on the Pentagon. I know people like a good conspiracy theory but this is a little to complex of an operation to be considered. If someone wanted to fake a terrorist attack to get support for a war, I am sure they could have come up with a slightly less elaborate plan that would not have so many chances of failing miserably or being exposed by those involved. Imagine the logistics involved in orchestrating an event of this magnitude. It defies all logic that a plan such as this would be considered.

     Among these conspiracies is the strike on the Pentagon. This is a popular target for conspiracy buffs because we do not have any footage of the actual incident, unlike the WTC's. So this allows for speculation on what really did hit the Pentagon. I have heard anything from a military fighter jet to a cruise missile. This is one thing you can pick up right away from the skeptics, they have not come together on a conclusion for what in fact hit the Pentagon. 

     A lot of the alternate theories that were out there have simmered down to a basic "non 757" theory. Without any evidence to suggest any other type of vehicle or device that did this damage, they had to fall back on something. But you know they would not fold, and go with the common sense answer. So, now we have people that do not know what it was, but they don't think it was a Boeing 757. 

     I have heard many claims as to why it could not have been a 757, but some of the more absurd claims I have heard are:

• All the people around the scene would have gone deaf, because jet engines are so loud

• All the cars within miles would have flipped over from the thrust of the jet.

• the impact hole is nowhere near 44 feet high. Here people love to reference the height from ground to the top of the vertical Stabilizer. Completely ignoring that the main body of the plane, the part that would have done most of the damage, is only 12 and a half feet by 13 feet.

• Planes always leave large pieces of debris at a wrecksite.

    Cherry picking is a common technique among the skeptics. They love blurry pictures, and ones that have activity obscuring the "whole picture." There are many websites that parrot a lot of the same arguments. There has also been a few videos that have stood out among the skeptics. The main video they love to pass around is nothing but a fancy soundtrack with a miniscule amount of the data available. I see it surface now and then along with the message that it must be viewed quickly before the government strikes it from the internet. Of course this never happens, and it dies out only to resurface again from another conspiracy noob a few months later.

• 911 in plane site has a video. All you have to do is purchase it. I guess they are real serious about getting the truth out with that one.

• Let's roll 911 has all of the basic, easily put down myths.

• Loose Change has all the same as well, but they are smart enough to start taking some of the most ridiculous arguments out of their media presentation.

     The videos on these sites are a scam. They don't use any of the available pictures that show massive amounts of debris outside of the building. They use pictures of the main impact hole that are partially obscured by the fire fighting foam, and try to pass it off as the extent of the damage. I am sorry, but a slick soundtrack does not override the complete lack of responsible presentation of the available data.

     There are countless other sites out there that parrot the same information.

     Anyway, as I gather more information together I will update this site. I will try to make into somewhat of a timeline if possible. For now it is more a place for me to store good information about the event.

      I would suggest reading the eye witness reports first. Make sure you have some time, there are a lot of them. There is a link at the top of the page for them as well.
