TU Youth Program

I have recently volunteered for the Trout Unlimited Truchas Chapter Youth Education Program(TCYEP). I would like to make this information available for everyone in case you would like to participate or possibly be a sponsor. It would be nice if we were funded and never had to worry about this kind of thing but I am sure we are all aware of the sad reality concerning funding for programs like this.

Truchas Chapter Youth Education Program Mission Statement:

“TCYEP’s mission is to create and develop northern New Mexico’s next generation of coldwater conservationist by involving our youth in educational (classroom and outdoors) trout conservation activities, thus establishing appreciation for the relationship between our daily activities and the larger natural world around us.

This will include working with various agencies and outdoor user groups, fostering the spirit of cooperation and community, with opportunities for learning leadership skills by example and action.”
