Marion C. Blakely

Marion Clifton Blakey was sworn in September 13, 2002 as the 15th Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration. As Administrator, Blakey is responsible for regulating and advancing the safety of the nation's airways as well as operating the world's largest air traffic control system.

 


 

Deputy Administrator

Robert A. Sturgell

Sturgell was sworn in as the 12th Deputy Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration on March 24, 2003.

 


 

Chief of Staff

David Mandell

President George W. Bush appointed David Mandell to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on September 16, 2002 to serve as Chief of Staff to the Administrator.

Mandell acts as FAA Administrator Marion C. Blakey's primary aide and advisor in the management and administration of the agency. He also serves as a key legal and policy advisor.
